Drinking Christmas

Do you miss Xmas, but don’t want to gain those extra pounds around your midsection? Their gingerbread-flavoured Pepsi is the answer for you. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take the risk. I wasn’t sure if “drinking” cookies was something I’d like to try, but I was positively surprised. It tastes really good. Yes, you can taste the gingerbread, but not for long, and it mixes nicely with the sweetness of Pepsi. Definitely worth trying.

Two Flavours, Zero Personality

I had some expectations when I tried this, but I was disappointed. Yes, it has a Dr Pepper kick, and yes, you can taste the cream soda, but it all disappears pretty quickly. After a second, you’re forgetting what you’re drinking. It’s another example of mixing two flavours to make something funky……..and another example where it didn’t work. And I’m saying this with regret, because I’m a massive fan of Dr Pepper.

I’m back from…….from the place I was

Some of you might know that I lost my blog. After 10 years of sharing my deepest thoughts, WordPress decided they needed to verify my credentials and locked me out. Stupidly, I forgot which email I was using for that blog, and I can’t unlock it now. A very big part of my life is now lost. I like writing; it helps me. So here’s the Dad Said blog. The big change is that it will be in English. As this is not my native language, there will be mistakes, but hey, life can’t be perfect.

Writing this first post took me ages. Not because I didn’t know what I wanted to say, but because I am working two jobs now. I’m starting my day at 5–5.30 am and finishing at 8 pm. The whole idea of two jobs didn’t come from need or greed. It is a long-term project that will help me achieve a bigger goal. I’ll be honest, I thought that the second job would go way easier. I was hoping it would kick in almost instantly, but after six months I’m still far from where I planned to be. I made a very big leap in the last month, and I really hope I will achieve the first milestone by the end of the year. (Update: I did.)

January is full of many big decisions, both work- and private-life-related. All will be revealed over the course of the year. I can say I definitely ticked some of the boxes. I am very excited. If everything goes as I expect, I will be able to say, “I’ve done it.”

What’s going on in the whole wide world? We can safely say we are living in the craziest time we could imagine. Last year we were only looking East for any threats, but the last few weeks have shown that there might be a threat from the West as well. The things we are hearing from Trump definitely prove we shouldn’t trust the US anymore, and his disrespectful comment about European soldiers will go down in history.

So, with that short entry, welcome to my blog. When reading these things, remember these are my opinions and only mine. You can disagree, and I’m happy to have a conversation as long as it is civilised.
