Cawston Ginger Beer blended with Crisp Apples can

After the Cawston Watermelon fiasco, I decided to give it another go and try a different flavour. Today, I’m trying Ginger Beer blended with Crisp Apples.

Reading the name, you know you’re expecting something fancy. And the taste? It’s definitely not what you’d expect from a ginger beer.

You can taste both the ginger and the apples, which is good. Although, the apples are somewhere far in the background.

This one is definitely better than the Melon version of their drink. Having said that, it’s still not good enough to turn me into a Cawston follower.

Cawston Press can

What’s your first thought when you see a watermelon real-pressed drink? That it will be nice and sweet? That it will taste of watermelon? That was my thinking.

But Cawston Press has gone one step further. You know when you eat watermelon and bite a bit too far, into that white bit that tastes like cucumber? Yeah, that’s the flavour of this drink.

Cawson decided that the best idea would be to use the WHOLE watermelon. Unfortunately, the flavour of watermelon skin is the only thing you’ll taste, and it will stay with you for a long time.

If they advertised this drink as cucumber water, it would be more accurate. At least you’d know what to expect.
